Lincoln Newborn Session // The York Family

Christopher’s Magical In-Home Newborn Session | Roseville

Welcoming a new baby into the world is always a moment of joy and wonder, but for the York family, this holiday season was especially magical. Their sweet son, Christopher, was born on Thanksgiving, making his arrival a cherished gift. Seth surprised Victoria with an intimate in-home newborn session with me to document this extra special holiday season with their new little guy.

There’s something so special about photographing families in the comfort of their home. The Yorks’ house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, with the glow of their tree providing the perfect warm and festive backdrop. Little Christopher, of course, was the star of the session.

Mom and Dad, both proud firefighters, held their son with such tenderness and love. It’s always inspiring to see parents who dedicate their lives to serving their community come together in this new role as caregivers to their baby.

One of my favorite parts of in-home sessions is documenting everyday moments. From Dad gently holding Christopher by the Christmas tree to Mom cuddling and nursing him on the couch, these images are as natural and heartfelt as they come. We even included moments of a diaper change—small, real-life details that will mean so much to the York family as Christopher grows. These photos showcase the love, joy, and peace that filled their home during this special time. It’s not just about posing for the perfect shot; it’s about preserving how they felt during this new chapter as a family of three.
